New for 2020 - The Slopes Project
Westfield Farm's 5 acre west slopes are being transformed into a Food and Fuel Forest. Tree and shrub planting will start in the Autumn of 2020 and our aim is to nurture and develop the currently grassy slopes into a more productive and wildlife-rich area.
We are part of the local Chew Valley Plants Trees initiative which aims to double tree cover in the Chew Valley.
For more information please see: https://www.chewvalleyplantstrees.co.uk/
We are currently installing a duck house, pond, and enclosure as well as deer fencing to protect the perimeter.
The Woodland Trust is providing 420 native woodland trees and we send thanks to those friends, family, and neighbours who have also donated seedlings from their gardens.
We are now looking for help to get all the trees into the ground ready for spring. If you are interested in joining one of our tree-planting sessions to make a difference please fill in the contact form below. We will be running socially distanced tree planting Sunday morning sessions from 9:30am-12:00pm during December and January.
